Fees information for Private Orthopaedic Consultations.
Insured patients:
If a patient has private medical insurance, we will charge according to your insurance schedule which means you have nothing to pay unless you have an excess on your policy. It is the responsibility of the patient to obtain an authorisation code from their insurer.
Self- funding patients:
Initial Consultation:
Professor Martyn Snow: £250.
Mr Marcus Green, Mr Samir Massoud and Mr Faisal (Fraz) Hussain: £220.
Follow up Consultation:
Professor Martyn Snow: £150.
Mr Marcus Green, Mr Samir Massoud and Mr Faisal (Fraz) Hussain: £120.
Steroid Injections:
Professor Martyn Snow: £150.
Mr Marcus Green, Mr Samir Massoud and Mr Faisal (Fraz) Hussain: £120.
However please note that the hospital will invoice the patient separately for the materials used. Please confirm this at the time of booking.
All consultants in BKSC are recognised by all the currently available Medical Insurers including BUPA, AXA, AVIVA. Vitality, Police Mutual.
All charges are in line with individual medical insurers.
No member of the Birmingham Knee and Shoulder Clinic has any shares in Private Hospital Providers.
Operation fee charges are covered by Individual Medical Insurers ( After payment of any Excess on your policy)
Operation fees for self pay patients are set by the individual Private Hospitals.
Physiotherapy fees may be covered by individual insurance policies or patients can self pay.
